Class description: Fused glass pocket vases are decorative, functional pieces of art made by firing cut and arranged pieces of glass in a kiln to melt them together, forming a flat, water-tight container with a built-in pocket or small opening on the front for holding flower stems or propagation cuttings. Perfect for a window, wall, home or office. Students learn to cut and shape glass to create a multi-layered design pocket vase. Learn the basics of fusing, how to use hand tools, and materials to create spaces and pockets during kiln firing. Finished size approximately 4x6”.

Class Duration: 2 hours
*Kiln fired vases will be available for pick up 2-3 weeks following class. (Given the holidays, it will be available for pick up no later than Saturday December 20th . Shipping is available for additional cost.)*
Parent or guardian sign off required for students under the age of 16.
A few safety notes:
- Safety glasses are required. I will have them available to borrow or purchase. Feel free to bring your own.
- No sandals or open shoes, such as Maryjane styles.
- You may bring something to drink, water, coffee, or soft drinks, in closed containers.
- I recommend that you wear something that covers your legs at least to the knees.
